Summer in the Douro: Days of Sun and Wine

The summer of 2024 was special at Casa de Santa Eufémia. July and August brought visitors from around the world to our estate in Parada do Bispo, all curious to experience the authentic Douro. Between wine tastings, vineyard walks and conversations at sunset with views of the river, every day was a celebration. Our team had the pleasure of sharing the family story — six generations dedicated to wine — with each visitor who crossed our threshold. The 10-Year Tawny was the favourite among international visitors, while our Reserva Tinto DOC Douro won over more adventurous palates. But the real highlight was always the landscape: the Douro in summer is a symphony of greens, golds and blues that no photograph can fully capture. Thank you to everyone who visited us.
