SINCE 1864 • DOURO, PORTUGAL
Port Wine & DOC Douro Producers
Where tradition and passion meet to create exceptional wines, in the world's oldest demarcated wine region.

Years of Tradition
Quinta de Santa Eufémia was founded in 1864 by Bernardo Rodrigues de Carvalho. From its division was born Casa de Santa Eufémia, which keeps alive the family tradition passed down from generation to generation. From the careful labour of those who work the land and the meticulous selection that defines our quality, comes our distinctive winemaking process.

The Terroir
Situated on the left bank of the Douro River, between Peso da Régua and Pinhão, our estate benefits from unique conditions. The vineyards planted on schist terraces, at an altitude of 300 metres, provide an exceptional terroir — a land of secrets and unmistakable aromas.

Our Craft
Maceration in stainless steel vats with controlled temperature and fermentation interrupted with grape brandy — the distinctive process that gives rise to the flavour and aroma that set us apart.
From old 550-litre casks to French oak half-pipes, each wine finds the right vessel to reveal its character over the years.
From the meticulous selection that defines our quality come the perfect lots — this is our pride and our commitment.
